the best cure for headaches has been shown to us by the Masumeen in Tibb ul-Aimma. An Imam told his companions to pour 7 fistsful of steaming hot water on their heads when suffering from headaches.

Headaches are caused (as fas I know; please correct me if I'm wrong) by one of three reasons:
-> muscle tension
-> high blood pressure (hypertension)
-> constriction of some vessels and dilation of others causing retension of blood in the head (migraine)

hot water takes care of all three causes as follows:
-> it relaxes muscles
-> it causes all vessels to dilate and so reduce pressure in the head and drain excess blood.

for those of you who are wondering whether it really works: YES, it does! I've tried it myself. i couldnt test it for the high b.p. reason, but i'm sure it helps. An Imam can never be wrong.

at the time of the Imam, I doubt that any of the Imam's companions understood the reason for the Imam's advice yet they followed it. this should teach us to unquestioningly obey the commands of Allah (swt) and The Imam of our Time.

May Allah (swt) grant us the ability to do this. amin

Amazing indeed!

Kind of reminds me of this arab doctor who derived a cure for cataract from the basis of Sura Yusuf where Ya'qub (A.S.) puts Yusuf (A.S.) 's cloth against his eyes, and that ailed him. Upon being inspired, he wondered what was within the cloth, and it was found that a component of sweat is helpful in curing cataract.
