Sharia Aspect
There is no objection in keeping a Rabbit as a pet.
But please note the following:

1- Rabbits are Haram meat Animals therefore their urine, faeces and blood are impure (Najis) but their body is Pure (Paak).

2- If a part of the body, such as hair (more than two to three hair) remains on the clothing of the worshiper, as per obligatory precaution his prayer becomes void.

Moral Aspect
It is worthwhile for a believer to have a purpose for keeping the pet animal because as per the Holy Qur’an one of the characteristics of the believer is that he avoids all vain activities. [وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ]
