This is a sequel to the author's first book - 'Ali: The Best of the Sahabah. It is also a refutation of Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah's Minhaj al-Sunnah, and -like the first - has adopted an extremely strict rijal verification method. Ibn Taymiyyah has struggled very desperately in his Minhaj to deny the text for the succession of Amir al-Muminin 'Ali b. Abi Talib to the Prophet of Islam. However, there indeed are faultlessly sahih ahadith in the Sunni sources which explicitly name Imam 'Ali as the successor, heir and inheritor of the Messenger of Allah. These ahadith stubbornly defy denial, distortion and manipulation, and are documented in the most authoritative Sunni sources. Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah however attempts to deny and misinterpret them. In this book, the author has placed the arguments of Ibn Taymiyyah under intense scrutiny and has exposed the fallacies behind each and every one of them.
