Amazing! It all seems so humble back then! Loved the Ka'baa picture of all the people sitting down for prayers. Mashallah!

And yet, now they have AIR-CONDITIONED TENTS in Mina... ( I wish we have the same privilege in Roze Me'shar that these places are supposed to emulate...)

unfortunately there is discrimination in Mina. Only those who can afford the air conditioned, full board tents have them. Many others have very basic tents or none at all

thats exactly my point...in such a place where we remind ourselves of death and post death, with all of us wearing the same pieces of unstiched clothes (men), we bring about these differences within us...
it is suggested that hajj is now becoming a tourism place more than anything...any comments..

it is said before ibada one has to make oneself comfortable so as to avoid distractions.

if heat is a source of discomfort, why not use ac to provide the comfort reqd for good ibada?

yeah but on the day of Arafah, we at the ksij mosque here pray outside the mosque leaving the ac inside :)
i dont know about the rest but atleast i can try to have 1% concentration during prayers out in the sun while sometimes people like me completely fail to concentrate normally.

if one prefers the sun, wouldn't that be the same as bringing a difference because the consensus in this case is praying in ac? Just a thot...

there is another fundamental problem:

AC is provided and is perhaps not a bad thing in itself, but it is not provided to all the servants of Allah gathered.
