I was thinking about Ask! and I thought how about having a chat forum for users who are online.

True..the moderating will have to be strong so that the chat should not be misused!The idea is good though..

I am not against the idea of chat...and i am sure the Ask membership is mature and will not misuse the chat...however, we would require 24-7 moderating...which i dont see happening...

here's what we may be able to do..
as some ppl are from dar and others from abroad.. - time difference.
may be we can share moderating the chatrooms...
altho dats a long shot..

That would require quite a significant amount of dedication, wouldn't you think?

hmmm...it would mean people coming up and commiting to moderate (be online and on the chat on Ask) for several hours a day...everyday

yeah thats the drawback, however other alternate that i can think of is having time limits on chatrooms such as open from ## to ##, time suitable for moderators to moderate really..

otherwise, u lot got ne ideas?...

and there might be people ready to take on the job
how abt moving this disscussion to a more active area?
