Very interesting conversation indeed! I feel totally wierd talking in kutchi! It honestly cnt be a language if u cnt write it out!
I m trying to learn shudh gujrati n its quite a tongue twister! Yas is right in saying tht we do indeed have a rich culture.. we cud even call ourselves bilingual! :D

xactly, we cud call ourselves bilingual, like bein in d uk, wen u meet ppl from different backgrounds @ uni etc... and specially when u introduce urself.. u go like.. hello! im from east africa, i speak swahili, urdu, kachi, gujrati and read arabic too.. they go like eih!...

1. u look like an indian, wat on earth r u doin in east africa
2. ok ur in ea, speak swahili ok. but how on earth did u end up speakin indian langs?
3. read arabic? middle east? ... god help me!
4. they're like totally confused by now.

I know wat u mean.. i once had a penpal in italy and after my first introduction to her.. she totally got confused! hehe.. m not sure if m an Indian although i dnt come from india, neither m i an african, coz i luk indian.. lol.. n i happen to have been born in saudi so does tht make me an arab?!! :? :lol:
