Female Chair"man"

Postby Muslim Soldier » 31 May 2009, 10:16

The KSIJ jamaats is currently headed by a male such that women do not gt positions of decision making. The Africa and world federation also have the same system. Isn't it time to allow the women to run for jamaat president as well?

I agree. Sounds like a great idea (unlike others you have raised).
Any ideas how?

This indeed is a worthy topic..but if I may ask..what is wrong with the present system in Dar Jamaat ladies section?
..believe me I find the ladies more better organized than us man!

The Ladies' Managing Committee is a sub-committee under the men's committee. The Chairlady on the ladies side has to ask for permission from the men before her committee does anything. Sometimes the LMC is hassled for small issues they can very well handle on their own. Even if a lady were not to head the whole jamaat, at least make the ladies' committee autonomous. And give the ladies a vote!
