If someone is truly matured then he/she should be able to counter their own ego and this should help is maintaining a marriage rather than a person who only has an ego and no maturity.

depends...there r some ppl who r realli matured but for they never ever go against their ego...

Perhaps we both are referring to different levels of maturity.
