The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series was a childhood classic growing up. Every library had the series and we grew up trying to search for the books to read them in order before our friends. Recently, the government of Tanzania has banned schools and homes from holding these books and promoting them to our children, because of a number of ideologies that have become prominent in these books that go against the laws and beliefs of the country.
This makes one wonder how many more books and shows have underlying messages that are often unnoticed by parents and authorities alike. How many books/ movies/ videos do we watch, daily, that promote content that is against our moral beliefs and faith? How do we filter these mediums and ensure that incorrect beliefs are not planted in the minds of our youth? What do you think? Join the conversation.
