Here is another explicit fatwa about goldquest and other such schemes (which come veiled under various names and marketed using different terminologies)
Question :
Is business through goldquest or other such activities permissible.
Answer :
Entering such transactions is not allowed.

Apparently its still going on but in a more subtle manner. I am sure people have already lost money in it.

I have been getting reports that the same companies behind the now failed Gold Quest et al have resurfaced in Tanzania and is being marketed to unsuspecting people as Qnet.
Do you know anyone who has been approached or has joined the program?
