Imam 'Ali ['a.s] says:

"Pay more attention to the acceptance of your deeds than the deeds themselves".

A Short Introduction:

It is common to us when we tend to look at the deeds than the acceptance of acting upon it. At many times, we perform good deeds but in its reality they are not accepted by 'Allah due to how we perform them or other important factors that need to meet the good act being performed. If we try to understand the good deed we intend to perfom and look at its acceptance by 'Allah ['azzawajall] then we will be assured of its quality and the acceptance.

Just as a person who wants to give charity, but at the time of giving charity, he doesn't really offer with an open heart but rather with a slight stingyness, hence, this is surely not accepted by 'Allah as charity should be given with a smile on the face and with in intention of 'Qurb' [getting closer to 'Allah].

Insha'Allah, we should try to practice what our Imam is teaching us and be the best in our deeds.
