Alaykum Salaam

There are a couple of members on Ask who are currently studying in Qum. You can PM them. One of them is 'Moti' and there is another person who has recently joined Ask, 'Khadimet Ahlul Bayt'. Inshallah both of them will be willing to help.

No, Al Mahdi Institue is not run by Naqvi brothers, one of the Naqvi brothers teaches there. Head of Hawza is Sheikh Arif and there are a few other Sayeds teaching there as-well. Very good institute recognised by the Home Office i.e. if you want to get a visa to study here and as far as I am aware if you are looking to get a loan from the AF, they give you a bursary for the full amount, though I could be wrong because there have been many changes in recent years.
