Re: Hazrat Qasim's marriage on Ashura

I never said our crying and the crying of the infallibles was the same. It is not. My point was that they cried, and that they continue to cry, even after all these years, and we cry with them, as is recommended. There is nothing child-like in it.

Lie#6: Popular question: Why keep Imam Hussein's [‘a.s] name alive all the time? Fabricated answer: “To calm the heart of Lady Faatimah Zahra [‘a.s] and give condolences”. Ayatullah Mutahhari’s analysis: Isn't this absurd? As if Lady Faatimah Zahra [‘a.s] is a child that her soul would weep for 1,4...

Pilipili and masalo dont give you acidity, and ice cream doesn't relieve it, so there is no argument there, bro :P

As for the heat and energy, there's cold water (a luxury the Imam did not have, but no one protests), and give out a few dates...they have a higher energy content than ice cream.

Food is important in the sense that there are foods we eat when we mourn, such as daal...simple, inexpensive, and not a treat; then there are foods we eat in times of celebration, chocolate, ice-cream, cake, etc. It should feel wrong to have the celebratory kinds of food on a day when we're supposed...

Once upon a time, long long ago, people brought food from home on ashura day...some brought daal, some meat curry, some brought other things, and to make it easy to distribute, the volunteers mixed stuff up and thus, khichdo was born... Don't think there's anything wrong with the khichdo, but icecre...

I do not know what Visionary's intention in asking about the name was, but I firmly believe that in situations such as these, names need to be named, because the people responsible are in a position to potentially lead the whole community astray if no-one does or says anything. If everyone knows tho...

I found it interesting that someone had dared to mention the facts. From what I hear it was one managing committee member and one tabligh sub-committee member who decided not to renew his contract. And now they're imposing their decision on the rest of the Jamaat. They claimed to have "two of the be...

Dear Friends, Those of you who are denizens of Dar and even those afar in the Khoja Diaspora worldwide have heard the story of the firing of Sh. Safdar Razi from his job in Dar by the Tabligh Supremo, by being sent an SMS. (It’...

And If you ignored the grammar or the word(s) used in this and other similar ahadith, you have interpreted the hadith as what you want it to be, not necessarily what the Bibi (as) meant it to be. So I'll say again, ask a expert of Arabic grammar to tell you the difference. Else we can agree to disag...

Sometimes the LMC is hassled for small issues they can very well handle on their own. Even if a lady were not to he...
